Community Initiatives
Sugarland Shoppingtown values the role we play in the local community. We support local community groups and participate in a range of programs and initiatives. We also invite you to join in the fun of our community. If you would like our support, please contact us with your request.
In 2011 here are some of the ways we’ve been able to help…
- Through Christmas gift wrapping donations we were able to raise over $8,000 for the Moore Park Surf Life Saving Club in 2011.
- The Sugarland Shoppingtown Kids Club members donated $100 to the CREATE Foundation through the annual Santa breakfast in 2011.
- The Sugarland Seniors Club members donated over $200 to the Heart Foundation through their Christmas breakfast in 2011.
-Through the 2011 Bag a Bargain promotion we received over 600 donations of clothing and accessories for the Guide Dogs Queensland Bundaberg Op Shop. These donations were estimated to raise over $2,000 in sales for the local Op shop.
-We support students and the youth community through musical performances in centre and the annual Young Journalist Search.
-We support local charities through the use of our community site in centre and the community notice board.
